This is a visual depiction of the Sides created by someone I spoke with on GCN.

(This is their personal view and may not reflect exactly the official GCN view. )

Quick review of the sides..

Side A: accepts orientation / same sex attraction and believes that same-sex sex is OK.
Side B: accepts orientation / same sex attraction and believes that same-sex sex is NOT OK.
Side C: accepts orientation / same sex attraction but unsure about they believe about same-sex sex.

Side X: rejects orientation / same sex attraction and seeks to change it.

Note: The creator of this diagram gives their explanation at the bottom of this page.
Creator of visual describes meaning of graph...

Horizontal axis (x)
: self-acceptance (or denial) of same-sex ORIENTATION (or attraction).

Vertical axis (y): belief about permissibility of ACTION (sexual relationships between individuals of the same sex).

The COLORS were added to help explain the graph.

The right side (A/B/C) is rainbow-colored (a la rainbow flag) while the exgay side on the left is black-and-white (as
an allegory of their thinking and point of view).

The positive side of the x axis is yellow to mean light (and to illustrate opening your eyes to see the reality of same-
sex attraction). The negative side of the x axis is black to illustrate denial (closing your eyes and being in the dark
about one’s own sexuality).

The y axis illustrates action/sexual relationships and is divided in red (OK to have gay sex) and blue (not OK to have
gay sex). Hopefully red and blue are self-explanatory in this setting.

The
Side C (or undecided or “no categorical statement about whether SideA or SideB is correct”) fence is the area
between sides A and B.
